Privacy notice

This notice covers the Voxel City website and its waitlist. Voxel City is made and run by Wayne Fellows, sole developer, who decides how your information is used (the "controller" under UK GDPR). You can reach us at hello@voxelcity.games.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we keep:

• your email address;
• your answer to "What do you most want to build?", if you gave one;
• when you agreed to emails, when we sent the confirmation link and when you clicked it.

We don't keep your IP address with your sign-up. It is used for a few minutes to stop the form being flooded, then forgotten. There are no analytics or advertising trackers on this site.

Why, and on what basis

We use your email address only to send you news about Voxel City, such as its release date. The legal basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form and clicking the link in our confirmation email. Your answer about what you'd like to build helps us understand what players want from the game.

How long we keep it

• If you never click the confirmation link, your sign-up is deleted after 30 days.
• If you confirm, we keep it until you leave the list, or until we stop sending Voxel City news.

Leaving the list

Every email we send has a link to leave the list. Using it deletes your sign-up straight away: nothing is kept. You can also withdraw your consent by writing to us.

Who else sees it

Your details are never sold or shared for marketing. They are stored by our hosting provider and passed to our email provider only to deliver our emails. Both act on our instructions.

Cookies

The site sets two cookies that it needs to work: a session cookie and a security token that protects the form. Neither tracks you, and both go when you close your browser or within two hours.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to hello@voxelcity.games. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
